WHO AM I
Hi! I'm Claire Ninneman (She/Her)! I'm a passionate, queer, very nerdy individual and I've been orbiting the Milwaukee area all my life. Massage wasn't my first calling but once it found me, I knew I wanted to practice this wonderful art for the rest of my life. As you get to know me you'll come to know I am a rather silly little person that loves cute little knick-knacks, art, comic books, videogames, you name it.
However as much as those things bring me joy, when you arrive in my office and our time together begins, what I really care about is making sure you feel comfortable, safe, and after we're done working together, relaxed. It's important to me that your needs feel heard and that you feel cared for.
I've been working as a Licensed Massage Therapist (#5038-146) with the state of Wisconsin for the past 16 years. I truly love it and I hope to become an educator to help make it more accessible, especially to fellow members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and specialize in working hands-on with our trans and gender diverse community members so more people can know the benefits of this incredible work.
I trained at the Lakeside of School of Massage Therapy, which prepared me to work alongside chiropractors' and physical therapists' treatment plans for a number of conditions with Therapeutic Swedish, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point techniques to get on the technical side. But most importantly, over the years I have learned to listen, and how much clients value being heard. To focus where they ask, have pressure checked on and in tune with what they can handle, and most of all help them feel safe and relaxed.
WHAT IS THIS PRACTICE
At Clarified Bodywork LLC, I aim to provide inclusive, high-quality massage therapy services that help clients feel safe, cared for, and respected during their sessions, so they feel their best when they walk out. With detailed Health and Consent Intakes and dedicating time and attention to in person client interviews, I strive to customize each session to you and your needs. With the addition of customizations you can choose early on, we will develop an effective treatment plan and collaborate to meet your goals, ranging from pain management, working on range of motion, tempering anxiety or simply getting away and relaxing.
Arrive 10 minutes early for first health intake and session planning. My approach is trauma informed with a massage style that ranges from Swedish Relaxation to Therapeutic Deep Tissue work integrating trigger point, mobilization, and basic myofascial techniques.
Finding Your Way
Once you've gone through the rear entrance, head down the stairs at your left and once downstairs turn right in the hall toward Face West Skin Care, which is the business that hosts my room and shares an office. After a brief scavenger hunt through the building, you will move through Face West's glass door, and there I will be waiting for you in the treatment room straight through the little office area. Here is where we will do your intake, your session and check out at the end.
